When talking about life's most important decision, people can get religion and relationship mixed up.
Today we don't want to tell you about religion, but rather we want to discuss a relationship with Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

Are you part of God's family?

A survey was conducted as to why people are religious. The number one answer was the fear of what happens to them when they die. The Bible explains how to become part of God's family so you will go to Heaven when you die.

1. You are a sinner.
 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23

2. You owe a penalty.
"For the wages of sin is death;" Romans 6:23a
"And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." Revelation 20:15

3. Jesus Christ paid the penalty for your sins with His shed blood and death on the cross.
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

4. You must believe and receive by faith God's free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. Salvation cannot be earned by good works, but it is a free gift from God.
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8, 9

5. Jesus is the only way to Heaven. How do you receive Jesus as your Saviour?
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." Romans 10:9
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13
"But as many as received Him to them gave he power to become the sons of God," John 1:12a
